Course Description

This course examines the substance and benefits of God’s choice of preaching as a powerful means of communicating His truth. It will explore the lives, integrity, messages, skills, and methods of Biblical preachers in Scripture. Students will develop skills in reading Scripture in its historical context; carefully selecting passages; thorough exegesis of the Bible texts; developing appropriate sermon forms, outlines, and manuscripts; and delivery that draws listeners to experience the transforming power of the texts.
