GENERATION TO GENERATION

A GLBC campaign to educate Christians on Planned Giving to benefit any and all ministries close to their hearts or their local congregations.

Generation to Generation

Just as we have been blessed by those who came before us, Generation to Generation invites Christians today to prayerfully consider how we can bless those who will come after us.

This initiative encourages thoughtful financial and spiritual planning—not only for the near future, but for the lasting impact we leave behind. Through planned giving, believers can pass along both spiritual influence and tangible support to the ministries that have shaped their faith, whether that is their local church or a ministry close to their heart.

What will the next

generation remember?

Take a moment to reflect on the people who helped build the foundation of your faith. Perhaps it was a Sunday School teacher, a grandparent, or faithful believers who sacrificed to build the sanctuary where you worship today.

We are all part of a living chain of faith. Generation to Generation is one way we ensure the Gospel continues to flourish long after we have finished our race.

Leaving a legacy gift is about more than finances—it is a final testimony of what you value most. It is a way of saying, “I believe in the future of this ministry.”

Together with other Christian ministries, we are introducing the Generation to Generation Challenge—an invitation to make a meaningful pledge, not just for today, but for the faithful generations yet to come.

We invite you to prayerfully consider including your local church or another Christian ministry in your estate planning. Planting seeds for trees you may never sit under.

Leaving a Legacy with GLBC

When you leave a gift to Great Lakes Bible College, you are not simply contributing to a fund—you are investing in lives.

You do not need to be wealthy to leave a legacy. Whether through a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or a life insurance policy, every gift helps ensure that the light of Christ continues to shine through this ministry and into our community.

A legacy gift can:

  • Endow scholarships for called and willing students
The GLBC Sponsorship Fund is committed to ensuring that finances never stand in the way of God’s calling.

  • Support full-time ministry of staff and faculty
Gifts to the Bible Teacher Fund allow faithful servants to continue teaching, mentoring, shepherding, counseling, preaching, studying, and serving.

  • Provide sustainable funding for the future
Planned gifts help secure GLBC’s long-term mission. Our Board is committed to investing these gifts wisely to ensure the future of this educational ministry.

Why Consider a Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is about more than finances—it is an act of faith. Thoughtful financial planning allows you to align your resources with what matters most, ensuring your values and beliefs continue to shape lives for generations to come. By working with professional financial advisors, you can develop a plan that reflects your personal circumstances while making a lasting Kingdom impact.

As the cost of living continues to rise, the value of many Canadian estates—particularly homes—has also increased. Including a charitable gift in your estate planning can be a meaningful way to steward these resources wisely while helping ease the financial burden placed on loved ones when an estate is settled.

Make your promise. Leave your gift. Secure their faith.

Take the Generation to Generation Challenge today—make a pledge and learn how planned giving can help pass the light of the Gospel from one generation to the next.

How to Meet the Challenge

Prayerfully reflect on how you have been shaped by the faithfulness of generations past—and how God may be inviting you to support those who will follow.

You may wish to begin by learning more about planned giving or by exploring what kind of gift feels right for you. We encourage you to speak with a qualified professional to ensure your plans align with your personal, financial, and spiritual goals.

While giving is an act of humility and generosity, sharing your intentions can be a gift in itself. Letting your church or ministry know that you have included them in your plans allows them to steward that future gift wisely for God’s glory. If you feel led, you may also share your plans with us through Generation to Generation, helping inspire others to invest in the faith of the next generation.

To get started, download our Legacy Planning Guide or visit our Planned Giving page to see just how simple and meaningful this step can be.
