Leadership and Congregational Growth Syllabus

Rooted in Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20), this course explores how God prepares believers for leadership within the family, the local church, and broader ministry settings. Students will be equipped to become Christ-like, compassionate, and effective leaders grounded in the ministry of the Word.



Through the study of exemplary servant leaders in Scripture—examining their strengths, weaknesses, and overall impact—students will gain insight into the biblically grounded practices of teaching, equipping, and edifying the church. The course addresses key administrative and pastoral responsibilities, including navigating conflict, responding to crises, and ministering to seekers. Additionally, students will address practical challenges such as recruiting, training, and empowering volunteer leaders (Ephesians 2:8–10; 4:11–16). The curriculum also incorporates tools for personal self-evaluation and spiritual growth, alongside an assessment of contemporary leadership models.
