• Churches in Canada face unique and growing challenges. As a nation that is increasingly secular, only about 20% of Canadians attend religious services monthly—though approximately 60% still identify as Christian. In this environment, strong, faithful leadership is more essential than ever.

• Great Lakes Bible College is the only post-secondary institution in Canada dedicated to serving the a cappella churches of Christ. We exist to equip leaders, ministers, and disciples for service across a vast and often underserved mission field.

• Canada’s population—roughly 37 million—is just one-tenth the size of the United States, and its population density is even more striking: less than 12 people per square mile compared to Tennessee’s 158. These numbers represent more than geography—they reflect the reality of doing ministry across great distances, with limited local support, and within a culture where faith is often marginalized. Your partnership helps us meet this challenge. Together, we can train leaders, strengthen congregations, and extend the reach of the gospel across Canada.
  

A Cost Effective Platform for Nationwide Impact

Our fully online learning model offers exceptional flexibility, allowing students across Canada to participate in live virtual classes and access recorded sessions on their own schedules.

This model also enables our faculty to mentor and support students remotely, fostering meaningful academic and spiritual engagement without the overhead of a centralized physical campus.

By focusing our resources on delivering a high-quality curriculum and university-level degrees in Biblical Education, we are able to steward funds wisely—expanding our reach while minimizing operational costs.

In addition to our virtual classrooms, we’ve established satellite hybrid locations hosted within select local churches. These spaces allow students to engage with online learning while building in-person connections and community.

Equipping Canadian Churches

Across Canada, many Churches of Christ face a growing challenge: nearly half of congregations do not have a full-time minister.

Our mission is to help address this need by equipping students for meaningful service in their local churches. Many of our students are not only preparing for full-time ministry but also training to serve as teachers, elders, deacons, and leaders in personal ministry—right where they live and worship.

By providing accessible, high-quality Biblical Education, we're helping helping to strengthen congregations across the country through well-prepared, spiritually grounded leaders.

Sustain Future Generations

We have launched a multi-year initiative to establish a long-term investment fund designed to sustain the school for generations to come. By strategically investing excess operational reserves and legacy gifts, we are working toward securing a stable financial foundation for the future.

Our goal is to grow the fund to $5.8 million USD, a level we believe will allow the school to operate indefinitely without relying solely on annual fundraising.

With the current exchange rate at approximately $1.45 CAD, mission dollars contributed from Canada can have a powerful and lasting impact.
