Bible College During A Transition Time 📖🎓

Considering Bible college during a time of transition can be a wise and spiritually enriching decision.

Here are two compelling reasons to contemplate:

  1. Seeking First the Kingdom through every season:

  • God’s Word instructs us to “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.” (Matthew 6:33). This biblical principle emphasizes prioritizing spiritual growth and seeking God’s will above all else.
  • Times of transition occur more often than we think- graduation from high school to is significant, but in todays world, we also find ourselves between careers, with family circumstances changing (hello, empty-nesters), or thinking about retirement.
  • Dedicating at least a year to Bible college allows for grounding in faith and spiritual development. Programs like GLBC's Foundational Certificate provide focused Bible instruction, chapel services, and valuable tools in connecting to your local church.

2. Finding and Preparing for God’s Will:

  • Many young people are uncertain about their life direction, and more mature may find themselves rethinking what they're being called to do.
  • Bible college offers a safe and spiritually productive environment for seeking clarity.
  • As students engage with God’s Word, they often discover direction. The Bible is described as a lamp that illuminates the path (Psalm 119:130).
  • A year or more in Bible college can provide the light needed to discern God’s will. Like Abraham’s servant Eleazar, who said, “I being in the way, the LORD led me” (Genesis 24:27), students can find guidance.

3. Personal Application and Maturity:

  • Real life application of Bible College can help students grown in maturity Biblical Knowledge, Ministry, and Christian Worldview
  • Attending Bible college through one of Great Lakes Bible College's Learning Centres gives them the connection and context to consider their role in their local church community.
  • The challenges provided through Ministry Experience credits help to foster independence, responsibility, and deeper faith.

Bible college during a time of transition offers an opportunity to align with God’s purposes, discover His will, and mature spiritually.
