GLBC Sponsors Another Successful Young Adults Weekend at Camp Omagh
Approximately 20 young adults from four different congregations came together for a weekend focused on spiritual growth and fellowship. The theme, “Spiritual Habits,” guided our time together.
For the second consecutive year, GLBC had the privilege of sponsoring the Young Adults Weekend at Camp Omagh—and we’re pleased to share that it was a tremendous success.
Approximately 20 young adults from four different congregations came together for a weekend focused on spiritual growth and fellowship. The theme, “Spiritual Habits,” guided our time together, with four 15-minute mini-lectures I presented, each followed by lively and thoughtful group discussions. It was clear that these young Christians are eager to grow deeper in their faith.
On Saturday evening, I also shared an overview of GLBC’s current offerings and encouraged attendees to consider how GLBC could support their personal growth and service in their local churches.
We had two main goals for the weekend:
- To equip young Christians with tools for spiritual development and spark an interest in Biblical education.
- To create meaningful opportunities for fellowship and relationship-building across congregations.
We were blessed to see both goals come to life. The conversations were heartfelt and insightful, and by the time laughter was echoing around camp at 4 AM, we knew bonds had truly been formed.
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, and we’ve invited them to continue their journey by joining our Summer Short Course later this season. We see this weekend not just as a standalone event, but as part of our broader mission to serve the church, support spiritual formation, and open doors for future students and supporters.
May God continue to bless this effort as we work together to strengthen His church.
